The
Aurora Police Dept also provides the community with several safety
programs including bicycle safety, drug awareness, child identification
programs, National Night Out, Senior Citizen Academy, and the Mc Gruff
Safe House program. Additional seminars and other programs are
provided to the business community in the areas of theft, shoplifting
and fraudulent checks. The APD also has the responsibility to teach the
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program at the elementary
school level. |
